The state Legislative Task Force on Reducing Poverty and Promoting Economic Opportunity will conduct a town hall meeting in Northwest Arkansas on May 26th as part of its statewide effort to create a more coordinated, comprehensive effort to reduce poverty in Arkansas.  The public is invited to attend the town hall as well as the task force meeting afterward.  The Town Hall will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, with the task force meeting immediately following.

State Sen. Joyce Elliott of Little Rock and Rich Huddleston, AACF's executive director, are the co-chairs of the task force.

The town hall meeting will be part of a statewide annual conference of 16 private, nonprofit community action agencies, hosted by the Office of Human Concern  in Rogers. For more information, contact Chrissy Heider at (501) 537-0168 or the Office of Human Concern at (479) 636-7301.
