A recent study by Arkansas Community Institute found that close to 40% of Arkansans have debt in collections. These debt burdens can have serious impacts on the well-being of the debt holders and their families.  Later in the show we will be joined by Neil Sealy, with Arkansas Community Institute, and Bruno Showers, with Arkansas Advocates, to talk about what debt looks like in Arkansas and potential policy solutions to address the problem. But first we are joined by Ryder Buttry with Women’s Foundation of Arkansas to discuss the importance of promoting STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) careers for women and girls.
