In 2025, Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, along with the Children’s Funding Project, released the Arkansas Children’s and Youth Fiscal Map. The map analyzes state spending on the broad range of programs funded by the state that are geared toward children and young Arkansans. The map is an excellent tool to better understand the scope and depth of investments the state has made. However, during the past year, some significant changes have occurred in program funding. In this webinar, Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families Economic Policy Director Pete Gess will explain how to use the fiscal map, significant changes that have occurred since the map was developed, and how it can be used to prepare for advocacy during the Arkansas Legislature’s upcoming fiscal session.
