For almost 50 years now Arkansas Advocates has worked to ensure that children and their families have opportunities to lead healthy and productive lives and realize their full potential. Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families supports SB252, speaking to the language about advertising, because children should not be targeted by marketing for addictive and harmful tobacco products. Young people are especially vulnerable to advertising tactics that make harmful substances seem appealing. By restricting how these products are marketed, this bill helps protect kids from early exposure and potential lifelong consequences.
