Fran Carter joined AACF in June 2019. Previously she served as Director of Development for Arkansas Repertory Theatre. She led a $6 million capital campaign to successful completion in 2011 and led the $5.3 million campaign to capitalize the organization, culminating in the 2019 “Rebuild The Rep” Season.
She earned her BA from Rice University and MBA/MA degrees from Southern Methodist University; her nonprofit expertise includes fundraising, planning and board development. Past experience includes Executive Director, Positive Atmosphere Reaches Kids (P.A.R.K.) and Development Director, Youth Home, Inc. She was named Outstanding Fundraising Professional by the AFP-Arkansas Chapter in 2006 and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). Fran is a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock and Past President of AFP-Arkansas Chapter. Fran lives in Little Rock with her husband, Jimbo Carter, and cat Louie. Their daughter Casey is a student at the University of Arkansas.
