You are listening to Speak-Up Arkansas with Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families. On the second part of the show we will be joined by four of Governor Hutchinson’s juvenile justice advisors, including Betty Guhman with the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs Arkansas at the Department of Human Services and Kesse Smith, Deputy Director at the Arkansas Department of Human Services,  on some major reforms to the juvenile justice system that will soon roll-out. But first we are joined by Ginny Blankenship, Education Policy Director at Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families and Christian Adcock, an attorney at Disability Rights Arkansas to discuss school discipline policies in Arkansas, and how certain policies should be updated to reflect newer research on behavior and discipline.
